Just what I was looking for.
These pants were just what I was looking for. Spacious, warm, and comfortable.

Good Fit - Nice Features
The fit was good and the features are as expected. Seems to be a good quality item that keeps me both warm and dry. Would hive liked to see a suspender option in addition to belt loops, but not a showstopper.

Beautiful but BIG and BAGGY
I shopped the web for some French blue ski pants and after hours of shopping I chose these. They are beautiful and seem to be well made. I wear mostly 35 and some 34 waist pants so I thought I was between sizes. I consulted Altrec online for advice twice giving them the 34 inch waist once and the 35 inch waist the other time to see what they recommended. Both times I was told the size Large was what I needed. These pants do have velcro tabs but they are 40 inches in the waist without pulling in the elastic tabs. They measure 52 across the seat (I'm 42") and the pants are a baggy 24 inches at the boot top. I cold tuck a heavy sweater into the waistband. I also asked about insulation because I wanted a lightly insulated pant. I was told they are "insulated shell pants" which seemed like an oxymoron to me but I was assured they were lightly insulated. These are very light weight pants with two light layers everywhere plus another layer at the seat and knees. (The package was so light I thought the pants had been backordered) They're lighter weight than my TNF shell pants. I have not skied them so I don't know if they're warmer than the TNF Freedom pants. The Coreman's are light and I'm sure they would be comfortable but I would not expect them to be warm without expedition weight underwear. I bought them to be my spring ski pants but I may keep them as my heavy winter pants with two pair of long johns just because I like the color.
