These are perfect for what I wanted, namely something comfortable to wear in the kayak that would give me good grip on the boat and rocks, when I got in to, and out of, the boat. These things are very soft and flexible. They are probably not ideal for large jagged sharp rocks, but the should be great for anything less than that... I put middle of the road on durability, primarily because I can't really speak to it. I suspect that because they are so soft and comfortable, they won't last very long under hard use. In my mind, this is sort of a necessary compromise. They are very soft and flexible and they grip very well. So, like good racing tires, they just may not last as long as more rigid ones. Of course, under more forgiving use, they should last a long time.
Great option for barefoot running in the winter
Barefoot running in the winter is hard and even when Fivefingers are great, the neopreno model is too tight. This shoes have the perfect balance of thing sole (which has great traction for icy roads) and toe box. It is as thin as it can be so be careful of those big salt pebbles. You can wear them with socks too. Order them in the same size as your old running shoes.
Great surf booties!
I ordered these booties for my teenage son to surf in. He loves them. They are very light weight, fit very well, the rubber on the soles allows him to get good traction on the board, and allows freedom of movement of his toes, almost like he is barefoot, but with the protection his feet need from sharp rocks. The booties are very true to size. He ordered the same size he wears in tennis shoes, and the booties fit perfectly. Thank you.
