New Partnership Allows Outdoor Enthusiasts To Plan Lodging On Wildernet.com
ASPEN, CO - November 9, 2000 - Interactive Outdoors, owner of Wildernet.com, and Super 8 Motels, offering over 2,000 lodging locations with affordable rates in North America and Canada, announced a new partnership that will enable Wildernet.com visitors to make lodging reservations when planning their outdoor travels.
Wildernet.com, an online outdoor recreation guide, is the most comprehensive website of its kind. In addition to its over 35,000 activity descriptions for hikes, fishing spots, campgrounds, bike routes, horseback rides and more, visitors will now be able to plan their lodging with Super 8 Motels. Direct links under the "Lodging" button to Super8.com will allow users to search for Super 8 locations when planning their outdoor travels.
"Just about every outdoor enthusiast prefers to plan where they are going to stay either on-route to or near their outdoor destination," said Marshall Hall, president and co-founder of Wildernet.com. "Since we provide direct links from each Wildernet state page to Super 8 Motels' extensive state listings of quality, economy lodging locales, users can easily book reservations with Super 8 and plan their travels all online."
"Wildernet is quite excited about this partnership," said Bob Rankin, CEO, "because we know our users are interested in all aspects of outdoor recreation - both the detailed Park and activity information we provide as well as the logistical issues of where visitors are going to stay. Super 8 offers great rates and clean, comfortable rooms for the outdoor enthusiast looking to plan an affordable trip."
Wildernet.com is produced and owned by Interactive Outdoors, Inc. a privately-held Web publishing company based in Aspen, Colorado.
