General Description

This is a good day use trail for horse travel. The trail is mainly used in late summer to early fall by hunters. Breaking point in the trail at Calamity Road #405.3A. The trail goes beyond Cow Camp and Road #405.3A to the Forest Service Boundary and into BLM lands. Wildlife and scenery of the Calamity Basin and eastern Utah are main attractions, along with long distance hiking and horseback trails. Motorcycles are not recommended on this trail, due to the first one and a half miles of switch backs.

Directions from Whitewater: Travel on Hwy 141 approximately thirteen miles to Divide Road #402. Take Divide Road #402 fifteen miles southwest to Uranium Road #404. Proceed on Uranium Road #404 three miles to trailhead.
