General Description

The trail is a continuing section from the Collbran Ranger District. It originated at the Vega reservoir 4 WD road. It is a day use trail for hiking, horseback riding and motorized vehicles less than 40". It is primarily used during the big game season.

Directions from Hotchkiss: Take Hwy 92 west for 3 miles to Leroux Creek Road #3100. Travel approximetly 16 miles north to Elk Park Trail head. East Leon Trail begins approximetly 2 miles north off Elk Park Trail.
