General Description

This is a short hike from Carson Lake out of the basin to the Flowing Park Rim. Wildlife use this trial for seasonal migrations. It also gives the visitor an idea of the size of the Kannah Creek drainage as you look back down the trial from the Rim. The trail is recommended for hikers and horseback riding.

Directions from Grand Junction: Take Hwy 70 east to Hwy 65 south. Take Rim Drive Road Southwest for three miles to Carson Lake road. Carson Lake is two miles down the road. The trail begins across the dam to the south.
