General Description

By hiking this trail, the visitor will save approximately 16 miles of vehicle travel for fishing activity in the Cottonwood Lake area.

There is approximately 2 miles of additional trail beyond the district boundary, including High Trail. This trail is designated hiking and horseback riding only.

Directions from Cedaredge: Take Hwy 65 north 18 miles to the Crag Crest National Recreation Trail Parking Lot. Cottonwood Trail is located 1.5 miles up the Crag Crest Trail #711.1.
