General Description

The high use is attributed to fisherman on Leon Lake and visitors in the campground who like to hike this easy and relatively short day use trail. This trail is designed for hikers, horse and motorized vehicles under 40".

Directions from Cedaredge: Drive 16 miles north on State Road 65 to Forest Road 121. Turn east (right) on to 121 and travel ten miles to Forest Road 126. Turn eastward (right) on 126 and drive three miles to the site.

Report: Do not take this route if it is raining or has rained. We went north out of Leon lake. We went throught Bog holes bolder feilds. We found Colby Horse lake.
Conditions: We got caught in a down poor. the mud was bad. Made it hard to crawl over the bolders.
Water Availability: You have cross Leon Creek.
Recommended Clothing: Take coat and Boots .Cold on clody days.
Suggested Accessories: Bring your handy man jake.
