General Description

This trail is mainly used by hunters in the fall. Snowshoe is a break off trail from the Unaweep Trail and provides short access into Calamity Basin. Views of eastern Utah and the Manti-La Salle Mountains are the highlight of this short hike. Motorcycles are not recommended on this trail.

Directions from Whitewater: Travel Hwy 141 approximately thirteen miles to Divide Road #402. Uranium Road #404 begins approximately fifteen miles southwest on the Divide Road. Proceed along this road to Rim Trail Road, then an additional three miles to the trailhead on Rim Trail Road. This is discouraged if foul weather is evident.
