Texas Creek Lakes include four lakes within a short distance of each other, that are fed by Texas Creek. The lakes range in size from three to ten surface acres. One of the lakes, Eastern Lake, supports a population of rainbow trout, but the fishing is rated as poor.Regardless of the fishing rating this is a good place to fish in the natural beauty of Colorado's Rocky Mountains. Opportunities to participate in many other activities abound with the close proximity of the Taylor Canyon, Reservoir and Collegiate Peaks Wilderness Area. The lakes are located five miles east of Taylor River Road and Taylor Park Reservoir.
Directions from Taylor River Road: When you reach the northeastern corner of Taylor Park Reservoir, on Taylor River Road, turn east on to Texas Creek Road, Forest Service 755. Drive five miles east toward the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness boundary and Texas Lakes.
