Report: A 4x4 pick up is good for this trip, but a 4 wheeler works even better. The fishing is wonderful and so is the view. This lake is off the beaten path but well worth the trip. My family and I have been up here every summer for the past 10 years. It takes about 30 minutes to get up to the lake.
Conditions: In July you might still find a little snow in spots. You are pretty close to tree line.
Recommended Clothing: A jacket and long pants.
Suggested Accessories: We brought our camp cook stove and had lunch while we were there.

Report: This was well worth the long and slow drive up Kerr Lake Road. The silence and solitude up there is just what we were looking for and words can't describe the beauty of the land.
