Report: This was a wonderful campground and the hosts were really great! I camped in one of the sites on the river and my very first night I saw a moose right out in the middle of the river not 50 feet from where I was sitting. It was incredible! The area is gorgeous and there is a lot to do. I spent one day in the Lake City area and it was great. Another day I spent in and around Creede, including a trip around the Bachelor Loop. That's an awesome drive! I plan on returning because there's a lot more beautiful places to see! The River Hill Campground made a great base camp.

Report: Excellent campground. Best sites are on the river but others good and shady. Not crowded 7-8-01. Smaller and nicer than 30-mile campground nearby. Bathrooms extemely clean, firewood available to buy.
