The facilities include 20 sites with tables and fireplaces, vault type toilets, centralized refuse bin and a developed drinking water system with hand pumps (in season) and ample turn around and parking space for trailers. Sites 13 and 14 are for a two car group and share one table and fireplace. the site is suitable for a large RV.

Attractions in the area include fishing in Beaver Creek and Beaver Reservoir and hiking on Tewksberry Trail 842.

Directions from South Fork, Colorado: Travel one mile south on U.S. Highway 160 to Forest Road 360. Take FR 360 south for 4.5 miles to lower beaver creek campground entrance.

Normal Services Available: Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend (NOTE: Campground alternates staying open after Labor Day until November 15, for Fall color viewing and big game hunting. Reduced Services. Campground may close earlier due to deep snow.) .

Beaver Creek Reservoir - All sizes of rainbow, brown, brook and native cutthroat trout as well as kokanee salmon tempt the fisherman. There is a paved boat ramp at the south end and the reservoir is suitable for rafts to small motor boats.

Highway Springs Campground - The south fork the Rio Grande provides fishing opportunities. There are 16 sites and no drinking water or firewood is provided.

Ride Thru The Rockies Scenic Byway - Within the Divide District of the Rio Grande National Forest, winds a specially designed car tour. This lengthy course, composed of inspiring scenery and captivating wildlife, creates an excellent modem for viewing elk and deer.

Tewksberry Creek Cross-country Ski Trail - This pleasant trail takes a gentle ascent over scenic Meadow pass between Cattle Mountain and Demijohn Peak.
