Rito Hondo Reservoir is a 41 acre lake located 30.6 miles northwest of Creede. There is no screening or trees. This is a very open area with only grass vegetation and it is often windy. Despite the limited facilities, this area experiences extra heavy use.
This is an undeveloped camping area with 35 developed trailer spurs - so no drinking water, refuse receptacles, tables or fire rings. Please pack your trash. There is a vault type toilet for your convenience. There is ample parking for all types of vehicles and trailers. The boat ramp is dirt. The fishing is great, but no gas propelled motor boats or rafts are allowed. Electric motors are fine.
