General Description

Trailhead is located 18.5 miles south of Creede on Forest Road 528 right on the edge of the Wilderness boundary. There is a Trailhead Bulletin Board with a district map and a dispenser box for Weminuche Wilderness maps and information. A trail registration box and forms are provided. From here, Fisher's Peak Trail heads southwest and Roaring Fork Trail goes southeast.

Directions from Creede, Colorado: Travel southwest on Colorado Highway 149 for 6.0 miles, to the intersection of Colorado Highway 149 and Forest Road #523 (Middle Creek Road), then south on Middle Creek Road #523 for approximately 4.0 miles, to the intersection of Road #523 and Lime Creek Road #528. Stay to the left at the "Y" intersection and follow the Lime Creek Road #528 for approximately 3 miles to the intersection of Road #528 and Red Mountain Creek Road #526. Stay to the left at this "Y" intersection, and continue on the Lime Creek Road #528 for approximately 8.5 miles to the Trailhead.

Lime Creek Cross-country Ski Trail - The Lime Creek Cross-country Ski Trail is a groomed ski trail approximately 3 1/2 miles long. It is a loop route intermittently marked with blue diamond trail markers.

Roaring Fork Trail - The Roaring Fork Trail mainly serves as an access route to Goose Creek. This trail only has a few, low quality, camping areas. Fishing in nearby Roaring Fork Creek is usually a poor experience.
