In its present condition, West Bear Trail is difficult to negotiate on motorcycles or ATVs. Hunters use this trail either on foot or horseback during the big game hunting seasons. The upper portion of the trail shows evidence of the old sawmills used in the early 1900's. Please check with the Divide Ranger District for trail conditions prior to your trip.
