Report: Very busy campground on weekend, but a beautiful area. Road traffic can be heard, but as long as you camp farther into the campground, it's merely white noise. Decent water clarity, friendly hosts and clean toilets...although the smell would gag a maggot.

Report: Camped on a Monday so it was about 1/3 full. Nice quiet campground. Hwy 7 wasn't a factor at night. Campground host very nice. My daughters and I had a blast swimming in St. Vrain river nearby. Looks like a good trail into Rky Mtn National Park next to the river. Will be back without kids so I can hike the trail as well as with my kids. The kids really liked the campground. I went back without the kids and it wasn't the same campground. Went on a Friday to camp for 2 nights. It was packed with RV's and loud kids where their parents nor the campground host did anything to quiet them down. I would not recommend for tent campers.
Conditions: Does have it's share of biting flies. Probably because it was so hot. It was 90 degrees and warm at night. Camping has bugs though.
Water Availability: Plenty of water.
