General Description

This trail is heavily traveled by a range of users from day hikers to horseback parties. At the Mitchell Lake parking lot the Mitchell trailhead is next to the bulletin board. The Mitchell trail ends at Blue Lake in the fragile forest/tundra transition zone.

Directions from Ward: Take Brainard Lake Road (CR #102) to the Mitchell Lake Trailhead.

Normally Open: Summer through Fall .
