General Description

The trail climbs from the Poudre Canyon to the base of Greyrock. From the top of Greyrock, a view of the Poudre Canyon, the plains to the east, and the mountains to the west and south is available.

The Greyrock Loop Trail branches off of the main trail about a miles from the trailhead. It climbs through a narrow drainage onto a steep, south-facing slope. The trail switchbacks up the slope into Greyrock Meadow, then climbs through the timber to rejoin the main trail at the base of Greyrock. Hikers should carry water.

Directions from Fort Collins: Travel 17 miles west on Hwy 14 to the Greyrock Trailhead.
