Report: Have stayed here twice June 15-17 and August 13-15 2003. Best spots are to the right of the entrance. We stayed in site 13 which is at the end of the loop and offers most privacy. Campground is next to Hwy 14 but the traffic noise wasn't too bad. Yes there really is a sleeping elephant! River is across the road. Fishing was excellent in August, river runs high in early months. Price was $11 per night
Conditions: Some rain but weather was good. Most sites have some shade. Bug spray a must - but the bugs weren't really bad. We found fire wood down the road.
Water Availability: We brought fresh water, there is a hand pump - we didn't use for drinking as it was a little on the brown side. There are 2 small stores right down the road if you forget anything.
