General Description

This ride is 7.3 miles to the top of Hagerman Pass from the Turquoise Lake Road. The first 3.5 miles of road are passable by 2 WD vehicles, the remainder is open to four wheel drive vehicles. Be prepared for these encounters. This route is very rocky and it is recommended that your bike be fitted with shocks for greater enjoyment. Spectacular views and outrageous wildflowers make the rough ride well worth the effort.

Colorado Midland-Hagerman Pass Trail - This is a moderately easy loop in the Hagerman Pass area. This is a great walk for those with an interest in railroad and western history.

Colorado Trail (Turquoise Lake to Halfmoon Creek) - This section of the Colorado Trail is known as #10. It begins west of Turquoise Lake and ends 11.5 miles later in the Halfmoon Creek drainage.

Native Trail - This trail exists within the Mount Massive Wilderness Area. Hikers or horseback riders may use a number of different trail routes that vary in difficulty and/or length.

Turquoise Lake General Forest Area - The Turquoise Lake General Forest Area provides access to a plethora of recreation opportunities. Activities on land as well as in the water can be enjoy throughout the year.
