General Description

O'Haver Lake is a 15 acre reservoir that is one attraction for users of adjacent O'Haver Campground. The site has 3 parking areas for day-use and a wheelchair accessible fishing pier. Hand-propelled boats are allowed on the lake. Stream fishing in Silver Creek and Poncha Creek are accessible from the site, as well as several hiking and biking trails. This is a great place to see the fall colors.

Directions from Poncha Springs: Travel 5 miles south on Highway 285; and then turn west on County Road 200 for 2.3 miles. When you reach County Road 202 turn west and drive for 1.51 miles to the lake.

Colorado Trail (Highway 50 to Marshall Pass) - Segment 15 of the Colorado Trail leads 14 miles south from Highway 50 to Marshall Pass. It is open to hikers, bikers and horseback riders.

O'haver Lake Campground - O'Haver Lake is a small 15 acre reservoir where the whole family can enjoy a day of fishing and camping surrounded by tall pine trees. Because of it's popularity, the campground is usually filled by early afternoon.

Shirley Site Trailhead - The Shirley Site is located southwest of Poncha Springs. It provides access to activities such as fishing, hiking, motorcycle riding, mountain biking and horseback riding.
