General Description

La Vista Campground is located within the Lake Isabel Recreation Area and is situated directly west and is within a few minutes walk of the shoreline of the lake.

This campground was constructed in 1992 and is in excellent condition. It contains a total of 29 family units. Of these, 10 are designed as walk-in tent sites and 19 are designed for RV camping. Each of the RV sites has a power pedestal with electric hookup. Five of the RV sites and one of the tent sites are accessible for the physically challenged.

Drinking water is supplied by a piped water system, with water faucets and drinking fountains spaced throughout the campground. Direct hookups to the water system are not provided. All toilets, except one, are the Romtec Sweet-smelling design. Trash collection is in (2-cubic yard) dumpsters which have been modified to be bear-proof. La Vista has an average use rate of 86% for the normal operating

Other amenities and attractions include individual picnic tables and fire rings
at each site, constructed tent pads at tent sites, nearby public telephone,
paddle boat rental, lighted self-service fee station, private phone line for
the host site, paved roadways, and nearby hiking trails and bike riding

Directions from Lake Isabel Recreation Area: La Vista Campground is located within the Lake Isabel Recreation Area directly to the west.
