General Description

Take Park Road from Rye and turn right on the gravel Cuerno Verde Road to the trailhead. The trail starts at 7,400 feet, 2.5 miles west Rye and parallels the wilderness boundary for approximately the first 2 miles. After about 3 miles you may see the wilderness boundary sign. The trail is not signed but is easy to follow.

Directions from Rye: Take Park Road from Rye and turn right on the gravel Cuerno Verde Road to the trailhead.

Normally Accessible: Late May through Mid-October .
