Report: I've been to several of the campsites in the canyon. This one is my favorite, but it's the last one at the end of the road. I've probably stayed here 30 nights over the past 5 years. The dirt road has the washboard effect and can be pretty dusty. Careful for the fisherman along the road there are usually quite a few during the peak part of the season. The camp hosts are great and very friendly. During the summer months fire wood is delivered to the sites for bundles at $5 each.
Conditions: The winds can pick up pretty good through the canyon so you may want to make sure your tent is secured. Also don't be surprised if a rain shower comes along in the evenings. There are pleanty of trees and some of the campsites are right next to the river. Great for flyfishing (fly/lure only at this part of the canyon) fall out of your bag and right into the waders.
Water Availability: I always bring water with me when ever I go camping. Sometimes the water isn't the best quality. But There are 2 hand pumps at the campgrounds.
