Report: Devil's Head Campground is located off Rampart Range Road. The campsites were exceptionally large. Your allowed up to 8 individuals per campsite and there is plenty of room for any number of tents. The northern set of sites, 1-11 have a number of georgous large rock formations.... perfect for children that like to climb. All campsites have a sufficient number of trees to provide shade from the afternoon sun. I would highly recommend to anyone. Current cost is $14 per campsite with up to 2 cars. Additional cars are $5 each.
Conditions: Access to the campground is via Rampart Range Road. This road closes 1 December and reopens in the spring when conditions permit. This year the road opend in Early May.
Water Availability: Water is normally available in the campground. However, this visit they were having maintenance problems with the pump. Nearest available water was 4 miles. We had our own water so it wasn't a problem.
