The trail (marked # 668 on the San Juan National Forest Recreation Map) lies within the Weminuche Wilderness. Motorized vehicles and mountain bikes are not allowed. Portions are steep with many switchbacks. The trail passes through aspen forests to the small, shallow lake covered by water lilies in a small depression surrounded by aspen trees. The lake is not stocked with fish. Horses seldom use this trail.
