General Description

The trail leads off on the north side of West Lime Creek and follows it for several miles, crosses it and leaves. There are several waterfalls along the creek. In July and August the wildflowers are usually prolific. The trail fades out below the Twin Sisters.

Directions from Durango, Colorado: Drive 39 miles north from Durango on U.S. Highway 550. The trailhead is approximately 1 mile north of the low point between Coal Bank and Molas Pass on the big, sweeping hairpin turn. Parking is available on the east side of the road in the large turn-out south of the trailhead.
