Report: Great place for solitude, amazing scenery to wake up to,and very refreshing!!Hate that its closed in winter.Oh yeah the couple of goat hunters I met were very nice, one of them held a grand slam record, how neat it was to meet them both and hear their goat hunting stories.
Conditions: We hit this trip perfect. The leaves were just right.Last week in....Cant tell, you might show up when I do and I wont have all that peace and quiet.Roads were passable, 4x4 not necessary.Lots of beautiful tall aspens, firs and mountains for plenty of shade at camp sites. 2-3 were out in open.Saw alot of hunters and day hikers, and bikers along road to camp sites.
Water Availability: We brought our own water.used approx. 10 gals. in 5 days 2 people plus baths.
