Dearhamer is 32 miles east of Carbondale. It is located on the Fryingpan River and east of Ruedi Reservoir. 12 campsites plus a host site on the Fryingpan River above Ruedi Reservoir. Boating in the reservoir, fishing in the river and the reservoir. 35-foot maximum RV length. No hook ups available. Facilities Camping units for auto and trailer, pickup campers, motorhomes and tents. Water available from hydrant. Vault type toilet. Camping units have table and benches, firering and parking spur. Graveled campground road. Report: Great place to camp. Quite, shaded and remote enough to forget about reality. THE FISHING WAS UNBELIEVABLE. I caught 83 trout in three days...no kidding!!!
Conditions: June rain in the afternoon was enough to cool down the heat of the sun and give the ground some moisture.
