General Description

Attractions and Considerations:

This short trail is located an the west side of Dillon Reservoir just off the Dillon Dam Road. The snow melts and the trail dries early making it a good spring trail.

Directions from Silverthorne: Travel east on U.S. 6. In Dillon, turn right onto the Dillon Dam road. Follow the Dillon Dam road approximately 2 miles . The trailhead is on the right, near Heaton Bay Campground.

Directions from Beaver Creek: Travel 36 miles east on I-70 to the second Frisco exit (#203). Turn right at the exit, then turn left onto the Dillon Dam Road. Go northeast for 1 mile to toward the Heaton Bay Campground. The trailhead is on the left, near Heaton Bay Campground.

Directions from Vail: Travel 27 miles east on I-70 to the second Frisco exit (#203). Turn right at the exit, then turn left onto the Dillon Dam Road. Go northeast for 1 mile to toward the Heaton Bay Campground. The trailhead is on the left, near Heaton Bay Campground.
