General Description

TRAIL BEGINS: Just off U.S. Hwy. 89 at the mouth of Cottonwood Creek.

TRAIL ENDS: At intersection with Little Red Creek Trail at the ridge between Deadhorse and Ferry Peaks.

ATTRACTIONS: This trail has access to high ridges of Snake River Range and drainages beyond. From the ridge between Ferry and Deadhorse Peaks there are spectacular views of surrounding area.

Directions from Jackson: Follow U.S. Hwy. 89 south past Hoback Junction approximately 22 miles to Cottonwood Creek. Pull off on unimproved dirt road and park along one of several spurs. Trail roughly follows drainage for first 1.5 miles then climbs steeply to approx. midpoint of slope before turning North northwest and contouring along to head of Cottonwood Creek and ridge crest.
