General Description

TRAIL BEGINS: 3 miles up Slate Creek Trail #3085

TRAIL ENDS: South Fork of Spread Creek

ATTRACTIONS: This trail accesses Slate Creek and Spread Creek Drainages. It starts 3 miles up Slate Creek Trail and ends at the South Fork of spread Creek.

Directions from Jackson: Travel north on Hwy. 191 to Gros Ventre Road. Turn right and follow Gros Ventre Road past Crystal Creek Campground to Slate Creek Road. Follow this to trailhead at ford of Gros Ventre River. Trail splits off Slate Creek Trail 3 miles up drainage. Northern end may be accessed from the South Fork of Spread Creek road.

Related Activities
Bear Paw Fork Trail - This trail has access to the Green Mountain area and connects with trails in Spread Creek drainage via trail down McMichael Draw. It is accessed by the Slate Creek and Dallas Fork Trails.

Crystal Creek Campground - This campground is located northeast of Jackson, along the Gros Ventre River, above Lower Slide Lake. Nearby fishing and hiking is available.

North Fork of Ditch Creek/Slate Creek Trail - This is a route through to Gros Ventre River drainage. It starts at the confluence of Middle and North Forks of Ditch Creek and ends at the mouth of Slate Creek.
