This campground is located in the mountains with large Jeffrey pine trees and sagebrush. Robinson Creek runs by this campground, and nearby are the Lower and Upper Twin Lakes and Hoover Wilderness. Opening and closing dates depend on the weather condition. Bears are in the area. There is good fishing in Robinson Creek and Upper/ Lower Twin Lakes. Good hiking and hunting, opportunities in the area Interpretive programs are conducted July 4 through Labor Day. Robinson Creek is split into two separate campgrounds. Robinson Creek North has sites 26-54, Robinson Creek South has sites 1-25.
Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends and a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends. You may only stay a combined total of 14 days per season at any of the sites in the Twin Lakes Drainage area. This site is in the Drainage area. Bears are in the area. Proper safe food storage is recommended. No refunds are given for bad weather. Holder of a Golden Pass must be present and occupy the site. Fees will be collected for each extra vehicle per day. Directions: Highway 395 runs through Bridgeport. Turn south on the Twin Lakes Road at the Texaco. Travel on the Twin Lakes Road for about 9.3 miles, left turn at Robinson Creek Campground.
