This trail leads to another beautiful lake in the Siskiyou Wilderness Area. The trail first heads up towards Bear Peak, then drops into Bear Lake and Little Bear Valley. Just downstream a half mile from Bear Lake is Lower Bear Lake. This is a beautiful area to hike, either for a picnic or overnight stay. The first three miles of the trail is fairly dry, so be sure to bring drinking water.
