General Description

Located 27 miles southwest of Callahan next to the East and the South Forks of the Salmon River, East Fork Campground offers a variety of riparian areas to explore. A short distance up the South Fork of the
Salmon River are a number of deep bedrock holes ideal for swimming or looking for salmon or steelhead. A handful of old mining areas lie further upstream. The East Fork of the Salmon and Taylor Creek can also be explored. The East Fork Campground also provides access to lakes in the Caribou Basin, Rush Creek, and Little South Fork drainages. The historic town of Cecilville lies two miles downstream.

This campground has 9 family sites and is normally open from May to October. There is no fee for overnight use, however, no potable water or trash removal is provided. There is no group site or handicapped accessibility.

Directions from Callahan: Turn off State Hwy. 3 onto National Forest Rd 93 heading South. Travel 27 miles on Hwy. 93 to East Fork Campground.
