Bear Lakes Loop Trail (12E31) is an easy 2.3 mile trail at an elevation of 6,300 feet. This is a well maintained trail that climbs 0.7 miles to Big Bear Lake. An additional 0.7 miles leads past Little Bear and Cub Lakes to the Silver Lake trail. The trail continues on 0.3 miles to the Long Lake trail junction and then 0.5 mile back to the trailhead.
Directions from Graeagle: Travel south on Hwy. #89 for approximately 1.5 miles and turn right onto Primary Forest Route #24. Travel west for approximately 5.5 miles and follow signs to the campground. The trailhead is at the end of the road past the Lakes Basin Campground.
