General Description

Loop trail around Blue Lake. Part of the Fish Lake recreation complex, this lake does have close vehicle access separate from the U.S. Forest Service developed campground. Vegetation type is old growth Douglas fir and cedar characteristics. Approximately an hour hike from the Fish Lake Campground along the Red Mountain Trail. Lake is stocked with rainbow trout.

Directions from Willow Creek: On Highway 96 between Weitchpec and Orleans take Forest Route 13 towards signs for Fish Lake. Continue past the turn off to Fish Lake and Blue Lake is just up the road.

Fish Lake Campground - This campground, located at Fish Lake, has 24 sites. It is also the access point for trails to neighboring lakes.

Fish Lake Trail - This short trail loops around Fish Lake from the campground. The lake is well stocked for fishing. The Fish Lake area is just off Hwy 96 between Willow Creek and Orleans.

New Red Mountain Trail - This 1.2 mile trail goes from Fish Lake to the Junction with the Blue Lake trail before continuing on to Red Mountain Lake.
