General Description

Located twenty-five miles east of the town of Arnold, California. Campground host is on site. Restrooms and potable water are provided. There are no hook-ups and no showers. No ATV's/OHV's allowed in this campground. There are some first come, first serve sites available.

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends. An additional fee will be collected on-site for second vehicle.

Directions: From Arnold, California, take Highway 4 east for 25 miles to the Big Meadow Campground.

Report: climbing the hill out of murphys. peace ,beauty.at the no. end of camp ground is a dirt rd. that turns into a 4 wheel trail to a campsot and bsa- wolfborro. 4 lakes within 15 mins.forget about yosemite its here. at alpine lake no. end are hiking trails to tahoe or yosemite. the river is great. ask someone about the granite water slides.
Conditions: bugs bring your deet.off laterns they work
