General Description

Bonta Creek is located approximately 4 miles south of Sierraville. Brook trout live in the deeper pools of this creek, which are created by beavers.

Directions from Sierraville: Travel south on Hwy. #89 for approximately 5.5 miles and turn right onto Forest Road #89-55. Continue for approximately 3.5 miles and turn right onto Primary Forest Route #5 and travel for approximately 6 miles. Bonta Creek flows past the junction of Forest Route #5 and Forest Route #15.
