General Description

The East Fork Trail (#3308) is a difficult 5.9 mile hike. This trail goes along the East Fork of the McKenzie River and through dense stands of Douglas-fir.

Directions from Blue River: Proceed 4 miles on Hwy. 126, turn right onto Rd. 19 (Aufderheide Forest Drive) and continue for 3 miles to Cougar Dam At the dam turn left onto Rd. 1993 for 2.8 miles to the far eastern end of Echo Boat Ramp parking lot. The trailhead is at the end of the parking lot. Trailhead has parking lot and toilets. TERMINATES: Trail ends on Rd. 1993.

Normally Open: Year-round (NOTE: The recommended season is early Spring to late Fall.) .
