General Description

Proxy Falls Loop Trail #3532 is an easy 1.25 mile hike at an elevation of 3,200 feet. This one-way loop trail travels through both lava fields and dense forest, offering views of two distinctly different waterfalls.

The best time to hike this trail is during the early morning hours and on weekdays to avoid crowds and ensure parking availability.

Directions from McKenzie Bridge: Travel east on hwy. #126 for about 4.5 miles to Hwy. #242. Travel on Hwy. #242 for about 10 miles to the Proxy Falls Trailhead.

Seasonal Information:
Normally Open: Spring through Fall (NOTE: Recommended season is summer. Hwy. #242 is closed in the winter.) .
