This trail leads up and over Mount Sanitas
The Mount Sanitas Trail leads 1.75 miles north from the Mount Sanitas Trailhead on Mapleton Avenue. It climbs and descends 6,863 foot Mount Sanitas. There are some opportunities for bouldering on the southern side of the trail. The trail surface is rocky with loose gravel. The summit of Mount Sanitas provides excellent views of Boulder and the surrounding area. This makes a good loop hike when combined with the Sanitas Valley or Dakota Ridge Trails.

Directions from Broadway: Traveling north passed the University turn left on to Mapleton Avenue. The trailhead lies approximately seven blocks west of Broadway.
