This is a primitive camping area that lies outside of the Kokee State Park boundary. It can be accessed via foot or four-wheel drive. It lies approximately four miles west of Kokee State Park Headquarters on Camp 10-Mohihi Road. The site has pit toilets and covered picnic tables and lies within a sugi cedar tree grove planted in the 1930s. This site is prone to wet conditions during times of heavy rainfall. Water is available from kawaikoi Stream, which lies between this campground and Kawaikoi Campground, but it must be treated before consumed. Sugi Campground provides easy access to Kawaikoi Stream Trail and Alaka'i Swamp Trail.
Directions from Kokee State Park Headquarters: Drive north on Highway 550 and turn right on to the second dirt road. This is Camp 10-Mohihi Road. Three and a half miles from this turn is the Sugi Campground. It lies on the right side of the road a short distance past Kawaikoi Campground.
