Sitting at the high elevation of 5,300 feet Wilson Reservoir campground is located a southwest from Bridgeport. Rolling sagebrush surrounds this scenic area that lies near the base of the majestic Bull Run Mountains. The reservoir is a popular year-round fishery for rainbow and German brown trout. Large mouth bass fishing is usually good during the summer months. Ice fishing is very popular, although vehicle access is poor and the road is not maintained during winter months. The west shore has 15 campsites.
Directions from Elko: Travel north on State Highway 225 until the junction with State Highway 226. Turn northwest onto State Highway 226 and continue until signs for the campground.
