The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission stocks Lyman Run Lake with rainbow, and palomino trout throughout the fishing season. A "selective harvest" area is adjacent to the park and provides 3 miles of fly fishing on Lyman Run.
Non-powered and registered electric powered boats are permitted. Non-powered boats must have one of the following: 1) A State Park Launching Permit, 2) A State Park Mooring Permit, or 3) a current Boat Registration. Motorized boats must display a current registration. Boats registered in other states must display a Pennsylvania State Park launch permit in addition to their current registration. A launching ramp is available and a limited number of mooring sites are available.
The park offers a 300-foot sand beach which is staffed by state park lifeguards. The beach is open for swimming from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., unless otherwise posted. A modern bathhouse with flush toilets, changing rooms, food concession and boat rental is the center piece of the beach area.
Directions from Galeton, PA: Travel east for 6 miles on SR 2002 and turn right (north) onto Lyman Run Road. The lake will be on your left (boat launch) with parking on your right.
