On the eastern edge of Kansas' Flinthills Region, Arrow Rock Park is on Melvern Lake. It draws outdoor enthusiasts from a wide range of disciplines. Melvern Lake covers approximately 7000 acres of water and 18,000 acres of land open for public use. Arrow Rock Park offers 45 campsites (19 with electric hook-ups), a group picnic shelter, boat ramp, and numerous individual picnic sites. Other amenities include a shower building, sanitary dump station, pay phone, several vault toilets, courtesy dock with fish cleaning station, and a playground.
Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. 2 night minimum on weekends. 3 night minimum on holidays. There is a limit of 1 wheeled camper and 1 tent or 2 tents per camp pad. The park is open year round. Facilities are available May 1 to September 30 and a park attendant is on duty. Tent and recreational vehicle visitors are welcome on all sites.
