Longdale Campground is located at Canton Lake in northwest Oklahoma on the North Canadian River, 2-1/2 miles from the town of Canton. Canton Lake plays host to a large number of campers, picnickers, boaters, fishermen and hunters every year. It is one of the few places that offer these types of recreational opportunities in western Oklahoma. Canton Lake is known for its fishing opportunities, especially walleye fishing. The Canton Lake "Walleye Rodeo" is held in May and draws thousands of visitors to the area. The campground is popular with those lake visitors who don't need electricity at their campsites but are seeking easy fishing access from shoreline. Visitor attractions at Longdale include two boat ramps, a large picnic shelter, and several campsites located next to the water.
