Anna Ruby Falls, Chattahoochee National Forest

Description
- Anna Ruby Falls Scenic area features twin Waterfalls accessed by an interpretive trail. The Russell/Brasstown Scenic byway is a 38 mile loop with spectacular views of the mountains and low lands to the south. There are interpretive signs along the way.
Recreation - The Chattooga district has 4 developed campgrounds as well as numerous backcountry camping opportunities. There are many hiking trails and 2 trails available to ATV riding. The ladyslipper trail is open to horseback riding. Climate - The Georgia Mountains area of the Chattahoochee National Forest has summers with warm to mild days and comfortably cool nights. Winters in the area can be quite cold with snow and ice at he higher elevations. Precipitation varies but usually stay between 50 an 80 inches a year, most of this in winter Location -
This district lies within the Chattahoochee National Forest, along the northern edge of Georgia. The Chattooga Ranger District office is on highway 23 at Clarksville.
