Description - A popular spot for those who enjoy the outdoors, Caney Creek is located on the shores of Sam Rayburn Reservoir. Completed in 1966, this recreation area provides visitors with rustic charm surrounded by the pristine beauty of nature. There are 25 primitive campsites in the Caney Creek Recreation Area.There is no water, sewer or electricity available at this area. Campground regulations, fee payment instructions and emergency phone numbers are posted at the pay station at the Caney Creek Recreation Area entrance.
